Gallery up to end of 2022

Many thanks to Steve, Shirley, Bob, Clare, Diane and Richard for the photos shown on this page.

A carpet of snowdrops in St Peter’s Churchyard in Stanton Lacy, wonderful sign of spring.

Caersws on a wintry December day.   Stunning scenery as always in this part of the world.

Church Stretton always impresses, and the weather was such a bonus on a November day.

Autumn splendour in Ludlow and Mortimer Forest

A walk from Much Wenlock to Ironbridge included 467 steps, thankfully down and not up!

A walk up to Mitchells Fold stone circle in glorious sunshine.  We then walked back via Bromlow Callow, and were treated to specatcular views along the whole route.

A misty walk from Stiperstones to Pontesbury, looking very autumnal.

Even though it was one of the hottest days of the year, we couldn’t resist the lure of Llangollen’s amazing scenery.  With the added bonus of a lunch stop at the Britannia Inn.

Sutton Park, an amazing place so close to the town centre.  It offers wide open spaces, and contrasting tree lined paths – and there are even Exmoor ponies living in the park.  Sadly we didn’t come across them that day.

Walking around Llandrindod Wells, perfect way to spend a Saturday.

Machynlleth, those views go on for ever.

Another amazing day out, this time to Aberdovey.  Specactular views, both countryside and coast.

May Bank Holiday bluebell walk around woods near Wellington.  The bluebells did us proud and the weather was perfect.

Church Stretton, far from the madding crowd.

A fine day’s walking in Knighton, in beautiful Spring sunshine.

An ascent up Caradoc was breathtaking, in all senses,  with 40 mile an hour winds!

A walk from Borth to Aberystwyth was on a day of two halves, started off grey and rainy but finished with blue skies.   We loved it!

Autumn 2021  offered us some wonderful weather and colours, these are from the Chirk walk and the Pen-y-bont to Llandrindod Wells walk.

Thank you so much to Steve and Shirley for the following photographs from the Church Stretton ramble on the 30th October 2021.  Absolutely beautiful, no descriptions necessary.

And here are some photos from a wide selection of walks we have done previously – and hope to do again!
